The Bespoke Process

Consult. We chat about your project, including different styles and materials, and what’s possible with your budget.

Concept. I send you detailed sketches and we double check size (for rings). We approve any stones with lots of videos and photos. 

Production. Your piece is hand carved in wax. After your approval, it gets cast into precious metal.

Finishing! Any stones are set and the piece is given its final polish and sent off to you. 

All in all, the process takes about 6–12 weeks once we chat, depending on complexity and how easy any materials are to source. I can work with a variety of budgets above $600.

Behind the Scenes of a Bespoke Piece

  • Custom, a little or a lot

    Set your birthstone in an existing Cormorant setting, or customize a piece fully from scratch.

  • Hand carved, then cast

    Each piece is carved in wax. In the casting process, the model is burned away and only precious metal will remain.

  • Made with care

    Every piece is hand finished by me in my tiny studio—all with lots of active communication.
